[ while Buffy has a busy night, Willow had a busier afternoon. she was able to perform a spell. she spent an hour following a light that led to both Bonnie's door and to a mansion outside of town. that's the first time her locator has split focus. luckily, she could feel it.

anyway, she didn't knock. what would she even say? now, she knows she made the right call ]

Her name wouldn't happen to be Bonnie Bennett, would it?

[which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It means she has less to explain.]

Try thirty-some. I spent my afternoon following a locator spell. She's the source of the imbalancing magic. The magic that brought us here in the first place. Well, here, and whoever lives in that big mansion outside of town.

Wait, don't go to her house. Mom's on a witch hunt, literally.

The mom at the house?

[hitchhiking]

Yeah. Bonnie wants you to meet her somewhere else.

Oh, I thought you meant in the mansion. I sent you a picture. Where should I meet her?

That's the Mikaelson mansion.

She's back at her house. Have you always been a slayer?

[Her first automatic response is "No."

Then she deletes it and replaces it with "Yes" instead, but that isn't quite right either.

In the end, she just sends this:]

[then she reconsiders it and sends a second text.]

I can explain, though. Just let me dust this nest.

[ he considers that, and looks up at the tv that's just on for background noise. not like he's getting sleep any time soon. he's not going to ask a question he knows the answer to. is she killing vampires right now. ones that turn to dust when staked. ones without souls, however that works ]

Be careful.

[ it's not a no and she's dropped him off at home before as well as vice versa. so, she can show up. he'll be there. but invitation is open ended and tacitly implied ]

[She'll finish off the rest of the nest, before swinging by the bar to pick up a bottle of booze (she left the money in the register) and over to Matt's. She hasn't exactly dropped him off (she doesn't drive, she and Buffy still have that in common) but she knows where he lives and it doesn't take her long to be knocking on his front door.]

[ did I say dropped off, meant walked home, sounds like the same thing.

getting to his feet, he stifles back a yawn before opening his front door. after a second, he steps aside, opening it more. he doesn't have to say anything. ]

[hitchhiking]

[Nope. She makes her way inside and sets the bottle down on the table. She isn't really sure how to start this conversation with him -- she had hoped she wouldn't have to, but that ship has sailed. So she start somewhere not incredibly personal.]

Do you have glasses for this?

[healthinsurance]

[ He nods, indicating for her to follow. The fun thing about your mother being an absent drunk, she leaves her four finger shot glasses behind when she skips town. Because she can drink in any old bar or hotel room. He pulls them down from a cabinet and sets them on the counter. ]

What you are, what you do - that doesn't make us not friends, does it?

[ Because, yet again, someone in his life was lying to him. And had spent months lying to him. So, he has to ask, even if he's bothered, because he's gone through this before. But, this is also Matt so this probably won't ruin anything outright.

Her trust is really the only thing in question here. ]
